Because i don`t play it very much,I am selling my superb G&L S500 STRAT,this guitar is in mint condition, beautifull playing, sounding and a stunning guitar to look at.These cost over £500 ,and that is without a case, this guitar has a good fitted hard case. This is better IMHO than a Fender Strat, the range of tones are amazing, you can use the pickups as a normal Strat, but it has a pull out switch that lets you have any combination of sounds you would wish for. These guitar were the new Leo Fender line of guitars and they are superb guitars.

Jimmy, i take it, this is the Korean made 'TRIBUTE' series, and not the U.S. made G & L's, none the less, they are beautifully crafted and superb sounding guitars, and your guitar is very well priced to sell, jimmy, and i think im right in saying, U.S. made pickups, you are quite right in stating the Leo Fender link, G & L guitars are still made to this day, in the original Fender Fullerton, California factory, from which CBS removed Fender production way back in the sixties, after Leo Fender had sold the fender brand to them, Leo was very heavily involved with G & L right up to his death,
Jimmy, i am very tempted by this guitar, as i am stratocasterless at the moment, and it would compliment my U.S. made G & L ASAT SPECIAL very nicely, [pictured here with YOUR sho bud] hmmm let me think about this one???? :guitar: :guitar: :guitar:

Ken, I am sure you will find the G & L S500 to be a sound investment, no pun intended, they really are superbly put together guitars, and you will find the U.S. pickups very rich sounding, and full of character, as you can tell, i am a big g & l fan, would like to hear your own views, after you have gigged the guitar, best wishes, Eddie

Thanks Eddie. I've got 17 guitars already, but I have always thought that the Asian G&L's are put together well. I will be looking to get a Gretsch Country Gentleman when I go to the States in April - another classic, great sounding guitar. Possibly better built than the original USA made guitars.

I know this post is not a 'show off our guitars' post, but cant resist showing my baby.
1965/6 Gibson ES335, totally original, no mods, changes or the likes, hardly gigged, owned by me since 1969. Best guitar on the planet (sorry I'm biased) I do have a couple of nice Teles though.
