Zepheniah Ohora & The 18 Wheelers - This Highway

Just a wee heads up for this album. :guitar:
With a name like that you'd imagine he might be hailing from Govanhill  but in actual fact he's a New Yorker. The album's been produced by one of my favourite guitarists, Jim Campilongo :guitar: and he's done an excellent job. Lovely clean, spacious playing from all concerned. Including very tasteful PSG by Johnny Lam.
Along with American Grandstand that's two choice albums I've caught this month. Country albums are like buses...etc, etc.
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.

I totally agree Danny, this is a first rate REAL country album all the way through, excellent songwriting, beautiful production, an absolute joy, one correction though: it's Jon Graboff playing the tasteful pedal steel on the LP. Jonny Lam on most of his live clips. (Wonder if Jonathan is the new "Buddy" of steel guitarist names...? ;) )

Next time the old "country music is dead" meme comes up I'll be pointing them to this record first in a growing list of new artists. Off to check out American Grandstand who I haven't heard of, thanks for the tip. :guitar:

Aha , thanks Jonathan, I came across this through YouTube and assumed Jonny Lam was manning the steel, especially when I read Jim Campilongo was producing

American Grandstand is the title of the Rhonda Vincent & Darryl Singletary album, also 'classic' imho, and I know for sure you'll love it. :guitar:

Ha, ha, you may well be right with your Jonathan Theory  Sadly, my moniker is just rhyming slang for that thing Americans sit upon
