Here is hoping I've got this right. This is a picture of some guitars (Hofners from way back) that a buddy of mine owns. they are part of a collection of guitars and amplifiers amassed over a number of years. There are many more I think over 100,plus lots of parts like pick ups, chassis speakers ie. celestions, Jensens, fenders, etc. Bigsby trems in new condition, and just too much to list at the momment. I am helping to catalogue this collection and most of it will go up for sale in the very near future. I am trying to make sense of how this computer stuff works,it's a bit of a mystery to me so I will try to put more pics up as we go through the stuff and if my fellow Forum members are interested I will be available most days to talk more about it. if I'm stumped by the picture uploading,(I'm actualy finding this rather stressfull) then I will happily send pics out via Email as I find that a bit easier. there is a fascinating story behind all this and if anyones interested I may post it up later. I will add some lists later if there is interest. my land line in east London is 0208-533-6574 up to 10pm. ps. I will only talk to Forum members, all the best, Baz.

Hi Baz
Let me know the prices on the Hofners and amplifiers as soon as you can. I'm very interested. Also a friend of mine is very interested in purchasing guitar collections.
Cheers

Nearly got a Hofner Verithin, cherry red, lovely looking thing. It was my first love, way before I thought about girls... Always kicked myself for not moving heaven and earth to get it, but there's not so much you can do when it's 1968 and you're 15.

Hey Will, I love that sentiment and I know you are hitting a lot of people where they live with that one. 1968, 22yrs of old and a guy is watching me play in a pub. He comes over, says, "I've got a guitar at home that you deserve to be playing,it's a Fender Telecaster and I'll never learn to play it.It's yours for £80. After the gig I begged and borrowed, even hit the landlord for a "sub"and raised the cash. We went to his home (a short walk) and he brought to the door this little white beauty of a Tele. Now to be honest this feller had downed a few beers through the evening and not wanting to be a greedy snatcher I told him I wasn't sure he should let this go. "Naw,"he said."You need it more than I do,I'll never play it." I had a no name cricket bat at the time so I was drooling at the thought of the next gig with this dream guitar. As I was counting out the money his wife came up behind him snatched the guitar from his hands and told me to sod off as she'd bought the guitar for his birthday some years before. Embarrassing to say the least, a bit like Nora Batty and Walter
