Charlie Christian Pickup

I'd like to give a shout out to the Charlie Christian 6 String and 8 String hand made pickups by JAG Guitars in Scarborough under the Baytone trademark. I ordered my 8 String from John and asked him to supply a surround with it. He asked what shape I preferred and supplied it free of charge. During the guitar build I damaged one of the height adjustment screws and once again John replaced them free of charge. He's a great guy to deal with and his delivery time is also spot on. The pickup sounds great with a very balanced output and I hope to post a video clip at sometime, in the meantime here's a picture of my new build.

Clarification. The adjustment screw was damaged after the initial build while making some mods, that's how I know it sounds so good.

Pardon my ignorance, but in your pic, is the guitar (light wood) sitting on a stand (dark wood)? Looks great btw

Yes Danny, the guitar is made from a chunk of Sweet Chestnut, which is similar to Oak. And the stand is just a piec of pine, stained with walnut varnish.
