The Forum timestamp ? a smidgeon off, slightly higgledy piggledy, gone wonky ? it is now 01:39 on Friday Jan 9th 2015 but what time does it say it's posted at !

It says exactly that time for me...maybe your timezone preferences are what's different?

So, Time is like Tuning on the steel guitar, we have JI and straight up and anywhere inbetween ! EXCEPT when it it comes to arriving and departing from gigs etc, and THEN time is of the utmost importance, as it is when we play, i.e. some members of the band playing to a different clock to our own would make the necessity for stricter rules regarding time to be enforced (in time of course) I recall a drummer who played waltz time right the way through our Bossa version of Desifinado. We were in time, he was in time but the hands were following a different course, of course..BTW that title 'Desifinado' brings to mind another problem I've been having lately ....?

Or is that correct, and yours is still off? Maybe the DST thing makes it an hour out either way...

I also have bear Desafinado in mind all the time these days. I have some days where my pitching is suspect and others where it is spot on. My hearing is deteriorating at a rate of knots, and that is a real handicap both as a steel player and someone who has to sit in a producer's chair in a studio. I used to be able to hear a bum note that was out by just a gnats penis, but not so now.

Solved, well I never thought in this day and age of HiTech that even though you select Greenwich Mean Time, you also have to tell it whether it's summertime or not !!
Ken, I answer your post when I've finished tuning up my steel... Give me a day or two !
