SoundCloud in Posts

I've created a new BBCode tag for embedding SoundCloud tracks right into your posts.

To do this, go to the track on SoundCloud, press the share button. On the popup choose embed and look for the track id. It will be immediately after /tracks/ in the URL, and it'll be a series of numbers only.

Simply take this track id and put it between [soundcloud][/soundcloud] tags in your post. I've also added a soundcloud BBCode button which you'll see when you post a message, just click on it and then add the track id of the soundcloud track.

The result should look something like this: -

NOTE: For this to work embedding must be enabled in the soundcloud settings for the track.

Thanks Marc! Just gave it a go, seems to work fine. Just as you described I had to grab the number from the middle of a longer line of code e.g.

...I picked out 402440994. If I can do it anyone can

Yes, it's a little trickier than the YouTube embed, which is simply pasting the URL. For this, as you say, it's the number after /tracks/ in the code that you need, which you get from SoundCloud's embed sharing option (currently the second tab in the "share" popup there).
