I've added a feature to allow members to link their YouTube channel to their forum user account.

Simply go to your User Control Panel and in your profile settings add your YouTube channel ID (see attachment). It'll then be added to your account and a YouTube icon link will appear underneath your username on any posts you make.

how about a "Skype" linked icon ?



This is implemented on the ESGF Forum.
We don't have the code for the "YouTube" button, and I think the mp3 one is interesting because it prevents the viewer from downloading but still retains the ability to play the clip. A useful facility for copyright purposes, and supportive of the "For educational Purposes" claim.

The Skype button WOULD be useful, I for one give lessons via Skype to students across the world. Albeit just a select few.

Bob, the old telephones used to have a small horseshoe magnet and coil,
4 of them side by side and wired in series would be an 8 pole steel guitar pickup.
Around Solihull and Sheldon in the year 1952-53 there were a series of unexplained disappearances of the handsets from a few 'phones, just about the time I made a three neck Stringmaster copy..



BTW That picture is 1959 and the Guitar is my Hofner Golden acoustic No.25 the amp is one of the very first Vox amps.

Skype info has now been added to user profiles. See the Skype FAQ for more info.

Facebook info has now been added to user profiles.

In your User Profile, for "Facebook account" enter something like:

people/Joe-Bloggs/123456789

Just a quick "bump" to this as I've just corrected a few profiles. When entering your YouTube channel, all you need is the channel ID: -

YouTube Channel ID: https://www.youtube.com/channel/basilhenriques <---- WRONG

YouTube Channel ID: basilhenriques <---- CORRECT
