MP3s in Posts

Similar to the custom YouTube tag I added earlier, here's one for MP3 files. The MP3 file must be hosted online somewhere (not on your computer)!

Simply enter the full URL (web address) of your hosted MP3 file between [mp3][/mp3] tags.

Usage Example: -
Code: Select all
[mp3]https://www.thebritishsteeliessociety.co.uk/demo.mp3[/mp3]

Result: -


As MP3 files are hosted elsewhere there may be a short delay after clicking PLAY while it is buffered into the player.

Hi - can this be used to post audio hosted on Soundcloud?

This method has now been updated to no longer use Flash (it now uses HTML5's own audio element).

I also changed the demo track ;)

There's also now a similar method for adding SoundCloud in Posts
