It's actually a young Paul Franklin, he did most of the shows for the 'That's Nashville Music'
You can see a lot more of him on the old RDF TV shows, quite a lot of videos are on YT

And, it's easy to see where the confusion arose. With all those 'fros and porn star 'taches flyin' around, the phrase, "they all look the same", springs to mind .
