Bens Bars.

Postby Dave Nutt » Wed Jun 21, 2017 12:17 pm

Just received a bar from Bens Bars to replace my old favourite thats seen service for close on 40 years (purchased from Eric when in the Broadway) the new bar with copper insert is fantastic, sat at my steel today for an hour longer than usual. I must add that the cost, customer service right through to packaging and speedy delivery was also top notch, I'm very happy with the purchase and chuffed that I can support a UK made product.

Well done Dave. Ben's bars are exceptional value for money. I was fortunate to meet Ben at this year's South of England Steel Guitar Festival. He is a really nice guy and he stands behind his product. Eric's bar lasted you almost a lifetime of playing, but getting a nice new shiny one must be a pleasure.

Yes Ken Eric's bar was a quite a bargain, about £10 if I remember correctly, I still have an original Sitar bar that he gave me free of charge, I had just forked out over a grand for a D10 Sho-Bud though.
Bens bar is good, I have certainly noticed a difference in sustain, its slightly heavier than my old one, and as you say nice and shiny.
Hope you are well boyo, loving some of the recent posts.lol
