So who are the artists amongst us!

I chatted with Donny today and he was telling me about Willie doing some impromptu art work on his chimney breast wall back in the 80s... I said no way! but heyho! Here they are!! Some crazy solid stuff! ....Well done that man! ........Depicting of course Russ Hicks ... On .... Chicken Pickin! Super stuff!

Are there any other budding artist amongst us on 'any genre' please step up to the podium!............ Show us what you can do!

He's right, the finished article was about 8' square. It broke my heart to take it down. I gave Russ Hicks a copy at one of the Irish weekends. I can still see him with one of his wee fat legs on a stepladder and the other on the mantlepiece, album cover in one hand and brushes in the other. Donny.

Dear oh dear, don't that bring back memories, but I think you are gilding the lily a bit Bob when you call me an artist.
Thanks all the same.

Hopefully he wasn't sporting his kilt? Otherwise it would be like having the Eye-full Tower in your living room.

And William, the deftness of the strokes, the fearless use of colour, these qualities make one think of Pollock's.................Only kidding, gaun yersel!

Here's a pencil sketch I did some years back, not much good at painting though as I suffer from 'colour blindness'

I may as well join in too. :D

Both are oils:- Stag, on stretched canvas ( 34" x 22"), Sold & in a private collection. :D
Gazelle, on Dalarboard canvas (22" x 18"), This now belongs to my daughter :)

These are very good Jim, as I said I have trouble with some colours so I just did pencil sketches.

Great work there guys, I'm sure there are others on here!! I have a picture of that chase in real time Jim must see if I can find it! The cat missed and then sat looking rather bewildered!

Re, drawings etc., and since it's quiet on here at the mo!

I used to sketch on holiday just by way of wind down, there's a funny story attached to 'Geraldo' (top left) I started a sketch on holiday in Jersey of the head waiter's son, I kept it under wraps and presented him with it near to going home, on the final evening two other of his children were marched up to our table, 'can you do them too'?? I said I don't have time now and I've used up the spool in my camera, half an hour later a spool landed on the table! the two other drawings were duly posted back to him some weeks later! :D

Somebody asked me about these back in 2010 (according to the file date) so I stuck them on a compilation page.
