In response to question. That's Maggie, a fell pony with the register name "Ashfordly Moonlight Shadow" that we bred. She's grey but they are born black so the picture is during her transition. here's a photo with her mother "Sasha" at about 18 months. She's 6 years now and quite a "rocking-horse" dapple grey.

That's a great photo Tony. Two beautiful animals. I've never herd of Fell Ponies before, I'm guessing they're a breed of working pony.
Although the flat cap and the wellies could be replaced with a 10 gallon stetson, cowboy boots and a nice pair of chaps. ;)

Fell Ponies - a rare breed now, originating n the Northern Counties of England.
I actually DO wear a Stetson (real one) when it's raining, but my cowboy boot heels are dodgy in snow

They are lovely horses. Very strong looking. I've now got an image of you, Kid Davis, mounted atop some fell, calling,"Hi ho! Ashfordly Moonlight Shadow, away", as you ride off to the next NESG meet.
