My favourite lady steel player is Barbara Mandrell. Barbara was taught by Norm Hamlet, and she's a mean pick blocker. No face pulling or gurning, she just gets on with it. Dig that right hand technique, and on C6 no less! Most ladies steer well clear of that back neck.


Donna Hammitt plays great too.

I thought Ken might come through with some info thanks for the pointers. Great playing from all three ladies, I hadn't heard of any of them. Some lovely moves in Donna's tune, and I notice she plays a Franklin. You don't see too many of them about. And Melinda.....picking out of Hungary Does that make it Country & Eastern
