Thanks for posting John. It's wonderful to see such an incredible natural talent. Let's hope it is managed sensibly and sympathetically so that she has a happy and fullfilled career.

Young girls can do this, she sings this all in her head voice, somebody now needs to take her and teach her how to sing properly, or there is a big chance she will damage her voice, but she has a huge talent. I've spent the last 11 years in and around trained and being trained singers, my son is Bass Baritone undertaking a degree in music at University. How is it everytime anybody sings opera in any "Got Talent" anywhere in the world the reaction is the same??? There was another one on the UK show this weekend. I keep telling my son this, but he won't touch it with a barge poll..
BTW if she auditioned for the National Girls Choir of Scotland, after she was finished, she would be asked, " What age are you?" Answer "9", response. "Then why are you singing like a 30 year old woman? Can you sing another song in your own voice."
She has missed out a whole load of technique training like breathing and positioning the voice. A bit like a starting guitarist that learns the solos of all their favourite songs, but cannot play a Dminor chord.
I really enjoyed it tho' :D

John, who's to say she isn't doing the right technical things already, by instinct? You mention positioning and breathing. Do you know enough to say she isn't doing that correctly already? And I'm a bit lost over "sing a song in your own voice" - she just did. That's her voice. What others need years of training to do, she can do it already, without training. Pretty special talent if you ask me. But yes, of course, some formal training is going to help her make the most of the voice she has.

HI,
What I mean by her own voice is in the HGT tracks she is imitating the records. Listen to the album versions. Below,
now she sounds like a very talented 10 year old, and she now has a singing teacher. She can only get better, and good luck to her, a tad better than being glued to a computer

Compare her with Jackie Evancho, same story with America got talent, but what a career she has had, and her voice is now filling out and dropping. Jackie is bette.

Good to see the wee boy so pleased for his wee sister. Looks like a very functional well ordered family at first glance. Child stardom so often ends in tragedy, Judy Garland, Lena Zavaroni and so many more, I hope she has responsible guidance who allow her to be a wee girl first.
