Slim, you should post that serial number question HERE and if the Jackson Steel Guitar Co. can't help you then a post on the SGF should.

Slim , I bought it new in 1979 down in London , I had it for 30 years, put two new pups one TW and a PF . I had as a road steel with Frank Infield , also I recall you playing it when you toured with us and Frank and Vernon Oxford.. you did make it sound great as I remember..john

Your right John, and it's still a nice sounding steel, just wants a little tarting up as we all do after 35 years, it's the only steel I found that suits my size, it's there, it's big, and it's loud, and it's mine. p.s., still bloody heavy.
