Well to start with, your asking us to get inside the head of the singer, as though we have been asked to appear at a medium sized club, and sing with a band, who we might not have worked with before, for two one hour spots, around 35 songs, so at worst, you have printed off a set list with keys, and hope the band know MOST of the songs, probably have to leave out your best couple of songs, cos you know the band will make a mess of them, and then put your head on the line for two hours, i'm just trying to look at it from the singers point of view, and remember, unlike most band musicians, singers tend to be full of their own ego, but, having said that, its a hard ask for them, i couldn't do it, but IF i could, and wasn't a big name, it would still have to be in the region of £200 minimum i would have thought, thats a tough question Billy,
Talking about egos, i was once playing at a pontins irish country festival in Wales, and was out walking with the singer during the day, when we met the singer and guitarist from a rival band, well i stood there for ages chatting to the other guitarist about guitars, amps, pedals, strings, women, plectrums

etc etc, which left the two singers there, hardly able to look at each other, never mind engage in chat, so full of their own egos and jealousies, like i said Billy, its hard to get into the head of a singer, i would have the vast majority rounded up and shot!
