Finding the perfect amp

Postby andrew marson » Tue Jun 07, 2022 10:00 pm

Can anyone offer suggestions for the ideal amp which is good for both psg and a tele. The perfect combination would be lightweight, small(ish), powerful (50w min),dual channel or at least have two inputs. Send and return would be nice too! How about pedalboard amps? Maybe one that pays the mortgage as well! All ideas welcome, cheers, Andy.

Andrew, the Boss Katana seems to be well received and might be worth a look at.
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.

Thanks Danny, I do like the Katana amps, you can get some pretty good guitar sounds out of them, but i haven't managed to try a steel through one-it's a bit of an ask to set a steel up in guitar shop and test it out! Even Andertons who are brilliant would probably baulk at that. Cheers, Andy.
