BBC iPlayer Transatlantic Sessions Series 4

This is where you can rest a while and discuss anything - doesn't have to be steel guitar related!

BBC iPlayer Transatlantic Sessions Series 4

If you have BBC iPlayer, watch this! if not download the player, some major content from Jerry Douglas on Res Guit.

This ain't country more Irish folk but with our own Ali Bain on fiddle. No gimmicks here just real talent and professionalism!

Note that Concertina! don't discount these machines!
I saw a Wheatson on ebay this week go for £3k+ (the price of any of our more Prestigious PSGs)

Anyway the last number at 22.45min is a beaut! Carrickfergus! sung by Alison Moorer, Jerry obviously appreciates it, note the chemistry between them towards the close of the number at 26.40mins!

The filming throughout is to say the least outstanding and seriously atmospheric!

The credits say filmed in Perth, wish I had known they were here! I think these two are the muts .... JD & AM

This was a channel four production and in iPlayer is currently in the category music! ........ Click T on the A-Z Bar

Sweet!

Just read this and thought I'd add that Series 5 is currently available on iPlayer.

To add my two pence I've been a fan of the Transatlantic Sessions since they started, I really enjoyed series 4, and am loving series 5 so far. Having the talent, repertoire and opportunity to sit in on a transatlantic session is the stuff of dreams.

Any suggestions where I should start if I wanted to begin learning some of those tunes?
