Like a lot of others I got stuck in a rut because of this bloody pandemic and like others have not been gigging. Then a friend of mine who I played with in the 60's sent me a video of a number of bands all playing Shadows stuff. Because of this I got back in to The Ventures and in turn their long standing lead guitarist Nokie Edwards so have been playing a lot of electric guitar. Here is a sample.

Didn't realise you are ambidextrous and can play left and right handed.

Do you know what Ken? Didn't even notice it. Just checked my phone and it's the same there. Something to do with using the front camera.

It is a Yamaha MSG Deluxe (or outside the UK the Image). It was a short run from the 90's and actually designed by a friend of mine, a luthier by the name of Martyn Booth who at that time was Yamaha's UK guitar manager. MSG stands for Martins Solid Guitar. When they pulled the plug, Martyn grabbed all he could find and I was fortunate enough to be able to get this one. It has two humbucking pickups with a coil split switch. To get this nice sweet tone I turned the pickups round so that when in single coil mode on the bridge pickup it is the coil furthest from the bridge being used. This is a dodge I have used on all my guitars for years. The construction is similar to PRS and it is a beautiful guitar. I also have the MSG custom which has active/passive electronics. Once there were none left in the country Martin started up his own manufacturing under the name of Martyn Booth Guitars. His favourite guitar shape is the Gibson 335 which he scaled down for this guitar. Would not part with this guitar for the world. Beautiful to play.
