A " Glesga kiss" for Mr Adams

This is where you can rest a while and discuss anything - doesn't have to be steel guitar related!

A " Glesga kiss" for Mr Adams

Postby Mcneilwaeasteel » Sun Mar 03, 2019 4:04 pm

Bob, you added this postscript to your post regarding the 26th February meeting

" ps: I'm thinking we need an AKA for you Mr MacNeialage  and my suggestion is T'armac! Work it out! Now there's a foundation! "

I thought it better to reply with my answer posted here!
soooooooooh :P

Bob, you want my A. K. A. there's a lot behind a name,
I would need a good one as I've got no claim to fame.
You came up with Tarmac, but I can't abide that smell
I've now put pen to paper and my story I will tell.

My mother she were Cornish, my father a proud Scot,
I belong to Glasgow and I'm happy " wae ma lot."
Mac Neilage is the surname, and how good it makes me feel
whenever I sign, or post online to " Brothers of the steel. "
My name might be a mouthful, but this poem rhymes when said,
so I may claim to be " Reel Rabbie, " as the famous one's long dead.

This will solve your problem, though it's written down in prose
but if I use " Reel Rabbie," that could get right up your nose!
If you want an A. K. A. just to keep things short and sweet
you can call me " Aarr'mac " whenever we shall meet!

P. S.
I really " stuck the heid " into this one! :P
No longer slummin, I’ve got a Mullen and a damn good amp as well,
they’ll be well played, if not played well, seat time alone must tell!

Ah Robert!

So sad you don't like tarmac 'twas loved by one 'n all
when it melted in your tiptoes from June to early fall
The back close was our Mecca w' muck 'n sites 'n sound
a haven of well being for a' the kids around!

This AKA just meant to say ......... what do we call this man
a complex individual with pure bread Glasgow brand.
'Tis not but idle banter .............indeed some idle craic!
We're happy if you're happy ........ we'll call you 'Aarr'mac'!

One prolific poster, now that's going a bit too far
I'll answer back like Jethro, " How wrong me boy you arr!"
The pot's accused the kettle, of writing posts on here
my tally's low and feeble, Mr Davis have no fear! :o

Tarmac and low Milage, it gave me food for thought
once my hair was almost black, low Milage I have not
just thoughts I write on paper, I jot down what I feel
I wish I could transpose them more when sitting at the steel :guitar: :guitar:

"Tis not but idle banter........Indeed some idle craic"
enjoy it when you read this post, no need to answer back!

" Oo..ah rr " the " reel Rabbie " writes again!

What a load of :censored: , that's your typical reply
if you knew the word was censored why did you even try?
Your lordships education, it could have set the tone
if you'd answered back with wiser words, they could be set in stone!
Instead you used a lesser word that could have rhymed with muck
there's disappointment in your answer, but I still don't give a :censored:

Actually it didn't rhyme with muck
I would have to include a duck
It does rhyme with light
So it's a right load of :censored:
Blanton D10, Justice s10, Fender Acoustasonic 150, 1 Brain, 2 Hands, 2 Knees, & 2 Feet.
