Buying from the USA

This is where you can rest a while and discuss anything - doesn't have to be steel guitar related!

if the item is still with the carrier, or at the airport awaiting clearence, that means you owe the taxman something before they'll release it. usually. Chances are there's a letter on its way to you.

Got it today, can anyone tell me if I will need springs to fit a Tonealiner pickup, as it did not come with any springs or screws?

I prefer to use PVC tubing rather than springs. Less transference of vibrations into the body.

Many years ago I bought replacement pickups for my Tele, and they came with tubing rather than springs. I noticed a big difference straight away.

Thanks Jason & Ken, When I removed the pickup from the Carter I found that it has built in springs
very neat. also i could install the new one without removing the strings, just slackened them off a little. So far I do like the tonealiner
, I now can get the third string to be as loud as the rest.
