The Mother Church

We all know that the Ryman auditorium in Nashville is the Mother Church of Country Music.
Ponder this.
I received an e mail from a friend who will be going to Nashville later this year and He had done an internet search to see if there was a show on at tha Ryman during the time of His visit.Unfortunately there was nowt happening.
Whilst searching He noted the prices for several shows,Merle Haggard (from) $108,Vince Gill (from) $69,various others Keith Urban,Oak ridge Boys,Charley Pride...(from) $80..................The highest priced ticket is for "Kevin James" ????? comedian, never heard of Him,tickets (from) $185,If You want main floor row K then it will be $230!!!!!!!
Sad times indeed.

Billy - I think it was even higher when Jeff Beck played there.

Acoustically it is a wonderful hall, and I am always disappointed that whenever I go to Nashville, the Ryman never has any country shows running. Mind you, those benches are quite hard on the Harris! :D
