Define Band!

This is where you can rest a while and discuss anything - doesn't have to be steel guitar related!

Sadly its a sign of the times, if you want to work at all these days, it usually in a Duo or Trio.
Real 'Bands' are few and far between.
Whatever happened to 'Keep Music Live'??

Dont give up hope Shaun, I joined a six piece outfit 4 months ago, have rehearsed 4/5 hours every wednesday since, only done a handful of gigs so far, one gig this week, but 3 gigs next week, and the money is ok, and all within an hours drive, there is still an appetite for live country music, im only speaking for Ireland, cos i dont know how things are now in the U.K.Mainland, they weren't great 6 years ago, when i left, but im hopeful for the future, i have been doing a lot of duo gigs the last couple of years, but you cant beat the buzz of being part of a larger band, keep the faith!

Band to me relates to a number of musicians all playing their instruments live. This must be the most satisfying way to play.Unfortuanately most bands are not now affordable
any more,so as steel players we would play for nothing.Because we love it,keep your peckers up and keep pedaling.

Hey guys, I didn't mean to bring us all down, we all love playing this wonderfull instrument. It would be great if it were in a full band, but if is a Duo so be it, at least we're playing.
