Who Would Be Your Desert Island Steel Player......and why?

This is where you can rest a while and discuss anything - doesn't have to be steel guitar related!

Ok, There are sooooo many to choose from
1 Tommy White, he has it all.
2 Lloyd Green, Taste touch and tone, and sheer inventiveness of licks.
3 Mike Johnson, great player.
4 Buck Reid, phenomenal player and real nice guy.

I did not pick my desert island player until this evening, there is so much more to this question than the obvious, imagine you are marooned on an uninhabited island, apart from who's my favourite steel player, other thoughts would be also be in your head. Apart from the obvious girls in grass skirts and lawnmowers, there would be thoughts of your homeland, friends, younger days. I love all the previously mentioned players but as much as I could listen to them I have no personal connection with them, so once I've got rid of the grass skirts I would like to listen to someone I can touch with my brain, someone who can take me back, somone who can envoke memories to keep me occupied, he would have to be a superb player, great touch and tone, a natural player who can't wait to sit down at the guitar, someone I'm very proud of, and so I would like to pick my friend, Willie Gamble.

My God Donny, you must have been sore pressed to think of a player when you chose little old me, never the less, I am deeply honoured my friend. As for Danny, slightly wide of the mark on both counts, but thanks all the same
