Sometimes I think the music industry is a little unfair and lack of support from those making promises. My daughter Kay and I have got very friendly with this lady. In the studio with the likes of Mike Johnson on steel and Jeff King on electric lead guitar, plus all the other talent around her, and yet those making the promises have not fulfilled them. This girl is still truck driving when she should be touring. This recording is right up my street with subtle fills from Mike Johnson and bursting lead solos from Jeff King. I could not have asked for anything more.

Nashville’s a cruel place Mick, plenty of producers, studios, even session men that will make promises, take the dosh and then move onto the next one.
A great voice, top hole musicians, good song, nice lyrics but that doesn’t mean much in today’s Country music scene.

Let’s hope we see her around one day, the lass deserves it.

Nice recording Mick. Better vocals than many I've heard, but the industry is preoccupied with pumping money behind females that look like cheerleaders. In terms of musicianship, that band on this track is top drawer.

Thanks for posting this Mick, she’s a great singer and the backing is exactly what I like in modern Country Music.

Kay is very friendly with Ginnie and don't think she would want to steal anything. Kay is cutting a path for herself at the moment and getting a lot of airplay especially with Cherokee Nation Radio who have now made her a member of staff. Both DJ's used to play with top names. Here is her latest offering which is in a similar vein and and in collaboration with the song writer in Nashville - Jim Colyer.

Hey don’t get me wrong Mick, Kay is a good singer and it’s not wrong to include new or popular material in your act. Let’s face it, we all played in cover bands at one time and I’m sure Ginnie would be pleased to hear her song sung by another singer. Think of how many copies of popular tunes we’ve all heard.
Derek Evans and myself played in a covers band in the early ‘60s and we copied everyone!!
