A new gizmo coming down the pipeline

Postby Danny Mitchell » Sat Jul 25, 2020 1:13 pm

I think I can safely predict strange new sounds emanating from the Kingdom of Fife to the Jungles of Argyll when this baby goes into production. Why, there may even be heard a squeak or two from the township of Hillington.

Interesting idea but rather like an ebow and I’ve already got one of those. I wonder what kind of noises could be made using one of Mrs Summers finest creations on a steel.....

It would work well on a version of Good Vibrations methinks

Yes an interesting thing the guy has got going there. I too use an ebow on the steel, works really well. I did have an idea some time ago of an ebow type device that could work over all the strings, it would mean an individual ebow circuit for each string and could be built into a thingymebob that sits over the strings above the pickup. It would require a push on switch on each string that could be activated using the right hand. A bit like that device which I think the guy from 10CC invented, only he used little revolving wheels that would turn and bow the string when a push button over each string was pressed.

One of my many brilliant ideas which will probably never come to fruition due to all the other brilliant ideas I'm currently pursuing
