Now we really are scratching the pits (no pun intended !), you have'nt lived until you go to Merthyr Tyfil in
the rain, must have been created by God in his ugliest of moods !
Although saying that, the late Billy Edwards came from there, now he was a fine lap steel player ! can't say
much more than that, I knew a lot of people from Merthyr, locked up most of them !!
Ah well, off to work now so all the best from a very wet Corfu !

Donny, I think you have that wrong, If they had dropped a bomb on Merthyr one of two things would have happend.
1. One of the locals would have caught it, run over the bridge into England and scored a try. Or?- 2. one of them would have eaten it.

Frank, how are you old boy? Billie Edwards, theres a name from the past, what was the band he played with? I can remember it as Country something or something Country. Did a gig many years ago where he was playing, couldnt believe the sound he got from a simple lap steel. Is he still with us?

I'm OK, suffering the wilds of Corfu,wind, rain and about 18C, oh ,the sun is out today !
Yes, Billy played with the Westerners, he later took my place in Phoenix when I left, sadly he died quite a few
years ago. I have the vinyl of his "Steel Appeal" with the Westerners and "Phoenix Live", he also did a guest
spot on our "Phoenix to Frisco" LP. If you want any of 'em let me know.
We are going to be invaded by a crack Scottish drinking platoon led by that highly decorated (paint or wallpaper,
your choice !) stalwart, Bob "lightning" Adams abley backed up by the lovely Olly in about three weeks, we'll let
you know the result !
