Looks like a Maine Coon or a Rag Doll Bob. My cats have coped better with my steel playing than my dogs. My last dog hated it when I went up into Hughey land on the neck, and would run out of the room and get as far away from my steel playing as he could.

Correct on both counts Ken... He is a Rag Doll and in truth is actually very content lying listening to the steel [even at 2.00am]

She said I fancy a cat... I said forget it.. you can have anything without an arse! ...
Did she listen! Nope! She got it, now I'm baby sitting the damn thing! And yes it has an arse!

Long hair is not conducive to that department I have found, as we have had a couple of little episodes of the 'cream buns'

A number one trim on the number two area may have avoided me being on the 4/7/11 and the shampoo in the kitchen sink!
Which reminds me, I must clean the hairs and the imprint of his body off the kitchen window tomorrow!

Mind you he quite enjoyed the blow dry!....But then ... He's a Man I suppose!

Long hairs are high maintenance Bob. We had a pair of persian colourpoint cats a few years back, including a massive chocolate one. Fur balls are just one occupational hazard, and there were very few surfaces that didn't need shedded fur removed each day. A good slicker wire brush prevents knots in the fur. Since both of our cats died 7 or 8 years ago of old age, we have rescued elderly dogs and in their own way they have been just as demanding. We are almost pet free these days, and are down to my wife's pet rabbit. Once he goes that will be it. No more furry creatures!

If it's got an arse, you've got somewhere to kick it...!
