Unlike most charities we sometimes give to.... this one has no "fat Cats" at the top or administration charges, what you gave has gone in its entirity to the people that actually need it and I am very proud of that!. I made the amount up to £110 and I paid the transfer fee (via Western Union) of £6-90. Thanks to everyone for supporting it.
Here`s email from myself and a PDH volunteer.....
Hi Katie,
Thanks for the mail, I am sure that Joe will benefit from Antoine`s guidence and yes, I am still very concerned that it is taking so long for Joe to get an I.D.card, (what I have been told is a fairly simple process??) any help in that direction is very important to me.
Look forward to receiving some pictures, Joe already has a good mobile phone that plays MP3`s..... , I am hopeing he can do something for his little sister Cathrine who he see`s so rarely since their Mother died.
Also please, if you could impress on Joe this may have been my last steelies meeting (hence the raffle) ,if there is another one it will be quite some time....
Thanks again to you and Antoine for all your help,
John Davis

Bonjour John,
My name is Katie I am one of the volunteers here at PDH this month from England. I'm from Norfolk (King's Lynn), so quite close to Cambridge!
We met with Alex yesterday at his school to discuss the donation with him, we asked him to come into the centre next week with his dad so we can make sure the money is spent on the right things (food and school supplies rather than new phones and MP3 players). He seemed in good health and the school he goes to seemed very good, some of the students were doing PE while we were there then the women came in carrying everything on their heads for lunch and set up. We took some photos while we were there of Alex and the school which we will send to you. We will also tell you when Alex comes to the centre next week how that went and if anything can be done about the ID card.
Thank you so much for the donation, it is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use!
Merci
Katie Grammer
