Country music friends of mine had front row seats at the O2 and didn't notice a mime. I really don't think she would, unless she lost her voice during a tour. It was absolutely brilliant..

In TOTAL agreement regarding the live aspect. Not having seen Shania Twain I cant compare, but to me Dolly is the epitome of professionalism and would only use tracks if Totally necessary..

What many people don't seem to realise is that there is between a half second and full second delay between the live PA feed, and the image on the large stage screens. Sometimes when people are watching the screens live they will be under the misapprehension that the performer is lip synching and not getting it right.

As David and Basil rightly pointed out, it would not be possible for Dolly (nor in her interest) to lip synch to the accuracy that she would have had to have done all the way through her set. I watched it again on my large screen TV and she is definitely not miming. She would lose all credibility if she was miming, and certainly the band was playing live. There was no evidence of a click track anywhere.

I just felt that the whole thing was pure entertainment and rehearsed to the n'th degree. Little wonder that this tiny lady was the highlight of the festival. Who knows next year - Brad Paisley?

Just noticed this as I am not on the site that often.

I was at the Glasgow show too, 13 rows back from the stage, and, to be fair, I didn't think Dolly was miming, but!!!

Value for money, this was the poorest show I have ever been at. Total time on stage was only about 90 minutes, the sound quality was total garbage, although marginally better the 2nd half, and the show content was pretty poor. Of course, she was promoting a new album which meant a lot of the material was new, but it wasn't exactly wow factor stuff.

£150 for 2 tickets, over 200 mile round trip as I was working the following morning - I was certainly not a happy camper, and I certainly would not go to see her again.
