Is there anyone who maybe can help??????????????

Postby Jimmy Gibson » Sat Jun 30, 2012 1:21 pm

I have a Peavey LA400 that distorts on both channels, even at low volume. An amp tech had it for over three month and when i got it back,he said he had replaced various components, but it still had the same problem i know The Black Widow speaker is fine because i tried it in my PV Bandit, and it sounded absolutely great, but i would like to get the LA400 sorted out before i try and sell it.

Any ideas to what could be the problem , i dont think it can be a very serious problem because the amp turns on ok,and it is very quite, the reverb works fine.

I even bought the proper footswitch hoping that might help, but no luck.

Jimmy, you could remove the amp section and send it to Peavey at Corby, that way it cuts down shipping costs, and you already know speaker is ok, so no point sending that.
MSA Millennium SD1O, GK MB200,Sica 12 and Telonics 15 speakers , Joyo American Sound pre amp, Jay Ganz Straight Ahead 500w class D Amp, Hilton pedal, Peterson tuners,Digitech RP150,Scott Dixon seat/ flight case.
