This is where you can rest a while and discuss anything - doesn't have to be steel guitar related!

Hello Newbie here. I have something that looks like it might be an SD10.or (S10)
Its in a well traveled wooden "suitcase" - compact but almost too heavy to lift. 10 strings, 3 pedals and 4 knee levers
The pedal bottom bar says Nashville Steel Guitars Ltd on it.
The body says Equipped by George L. Chrome and brown wood grain effect
All the strings are on it and I remember it had to be tuned E9.
I have not opened it since the mid 80's
it played fine when I put it away
I was given it and had 6 lessons. i loved it but then I developed a problem with my back and afterwards could not cope with the weight
do you think someone could help me identify it and perhaps sell i?
Regards
Alan

That is a Frankensteel, made up of all different parts, including MSA, Zum and others.

Thank you for that information - Is that good or bad?
I think I will be selling it, can you suggest a value please?
Regards Alan.

There is also some BMI parts on there. JD is right - if its a good sounder then it would have some monetary value.

Many thanks to all the guys who replied.
I live on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, U.K.
If there is any player within an hours ride I would be grateful for their help.
In the meantime I will try to set it up and tune it and record at least something so that the tone and sustain can be assessed.
First I will have to find my picks and tone bar. Ooh and the expression pedal too.
I don't have an amp anymore so I plan to plug it into my Technics SX-PR902 if that's not too insulting for you nice steely guys. Lol
Regards
Alan
