How Far Back Can You Go?

A point raised in Mathew Jut's recent posting of Hank Williams', 'Cold, Cold, Heart', made me wonder what is the oldest song/tune that you've played on steel? Wikipedia will help in this regard.
I'll start the bar at 1854, with Stephen Foster's 'Hard Times Come Again No More', which is still relevant 166 years later, sadly.

Oh dear!
How about “Sumer is icumen in”. Copied from the original manuscript between 1261 and 1264. Was asked to play it one Mayday some years ago.
Even I didn’t think I was that old!
Let’s hear more.

I've got a pleasant image of young maidens dancing round the maypole to the accompaniment of the pedal steel.
