When I first met him, Tommy White had a full head of head, which is sadly rapidly ebbing these days. But he has a renowned competitor coming up on the rails. None other than Paul F. Paul's cranium covering is thinning too, whereas he had a full head of hair complete with pony tail just a few short years ago. Now these two guys could be argued by some as being the top guns in steel guitar land. Bruce Bouton is a fully paid up member of our shiny headed brethren, as was legendary steeler Tom Brumley. Our own Gerry Hogan also reflects the spotlights from the stage, an occupational health hazard for audiences by all of us bald headed bads. So Danny, I think we're all in pretty good company actually.

Donny Johnston wrote:How dare you sir, I resemble that remark, being follicolly challenged does not hinder your dexterity on the pedal steel guitar. What you have to do is sit your immense arseom delecteom (latin) on the seatery (old scots) and fg practice. When you have reached the level of dexterity required, you can then go and buy yourself a syrup. LDN.

Just bench press your steel and make us young scrawnys look less impressive.
paulgasman wrote:Ken mentioned Tom Brumley, once upon a time he had a thick head of wavey hair and then like some of us oldies it waved goodbye. When he lost it he looked a bit like Roger Decourcey without Nookie bear. Didnt stop him from being a great player. Hair today gone tomorrow i suppose.
Maybe 4 of us should start a band we could call it the Four Skins.
Anyway Im thinking of having a tatoo on my bonce, any suggestions.

And while I exclude myself from the pics of 'tremendous pickers', here I am projecting plenty of stage lights back at the audience.![]()
