I looked at the options, I wanted a good brand and a Bigsby was a must have. I settled on a Gretsch G5260T Electromatic Jet Baritone with Bigsby in Black. They were out of stock but I pre-ordered one and it came into GuitarGuitar in Edinburgh last Thursday. Went over to try it out on Monday and was totally taken by it. The action was a bit high, the guy at GG did a small truss rod adjustment, lowered the action and it now plays really sweet. It features two mini humbuckers, which I wasn't sure of at first, however they sound great.
Wasn't sure how I would handle the longer scale neck, it's around 29", I have small hands, but the neck is quite thin which helps. Took a bit of getting used to but I'm getting there.
The guitar is really well made, no fret sprout, and beautifully finished as you would expect from a Gretsch.

When I got back home, I set it up going through a Tonex One with a Pedal Steel capture of a Fender Vibrosonic amp loaded, hooked into the effects loop of my FM3, where I had the Cabs set up with JBL D120's, with lots of reverb and delay.
I recorded my noodlings into my tablet just using the tablet mics and it sounds pretty good. I just wanted to capture the magic of exploring a new guitar. If you are interested you can hear it below.
