Best Tuners

Hi everybody,

I'm getting in to the PSG after finishing my uni degree this summer. Can anyone recommend a decent tuner please?
Both I currently have to not measure in micro degrees so I struggle to get the flat and sharp tuning stuff done correctly.

Any help would be appreciated,

My opinion is that the Peterson strobo flip is the best around.
It is programmably if You need some "personal"settings.
Otherwise You just switch on and use the presets, which certainly worke for Me.
The best price around is £150 plus £5 postage.

I've never used a Peterson but hearing others use them the presets seem to be good.
If I were to get one I think I would look at the Classic stomp http://www.petersontuners.com/index.cfm?category=170 as I prefer a switchable in-line tuner . You can get one for around £140 I think.

If your happy to program settings yourself, the tuner I use and am very pleased with is Sonic Research ST200. http://www.turbo-tuner.com/ . Bit harder to get, I bought mine on-line from USA. Ended up costing me around £120.

Before I used a Korg LCA-120. A lot cheaper and worked fine for me particularly after programming.

You can program one set of presets or use focus tune mode to tune with offsets. Looks like you can get one for around £50

Thank you for your replies. I also play guitar so would be keen to invest in a decent tuner.
I'll look in to Peterson stuff, and will probably go for a stomp, as I too like the stomp feature
