Steel Guitar Wav File needed for album

Hello all you studio savvy steelers - I hope this post will stay in this section & not be moved to the live bands part, as i think this is the most appropriate place for it

I am in a Leeds based band and we are looking for someone to play steel guitar on a track. The easiest thing would be to record a wav file which we could import into the project.

The song in similar in style to the following 2 songs, so we'd be looking for this kind of thing




(approx - 3 min 55 in to save you time)

Would anybody able to help at all?

Hi Dave, I'm sure some of the guys will rise to your request or even sit in on a session...... MU rates prevailing of course

I did some remote work recently for a chap working on his CD in London, this was the backend of one of his tracks, it was a tad time consuming as I downloaded his emailed track (which had every instrument on bar a washingboard!) I then over dubbed the basic instruments to get a grasp of where I could come in effectively creating an editable backing track then stripped it all out to leave only the steel file ....it worked out ok in the end but it would have been much more simple done in the studio that's for sure.

It's important that all the other instruments, and singing, are on the initial track, to help the steel player 'centre' his tuning.
