Dear fellow forum members,

I took it upon myself to compile a CD to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of the Scottish Steel Guitar Workshop, this October. It was a joy to do and I would like to make it available to forum members for a voluntary donation, of whatever sum you would deem fit, made to the the forum to help with its running costs. The forum has been a great source of help to me personally and, I imagine, to many others.

The CD has 22 tracks, featuring PSG, Lap Steel & Dobro, in mp3 format and is available through the following Dropbox link......

I sincerely hope you enjoy the CD. :guitar:

Glad you enjoyed it Henry. Danny has been the driving force behind this project since he suggested it at the beginning of the year, and has pushed it through as he said he would, in time for the 3rd anniversary. I AM NOW GOING TO GIVE HIM A "RIDDY" Danny has been a member of the SSGW for approx 2yrs, he knew nothing about psg , and has out rehearsed us all, on the cd he plays electric guitar, acoustic guitar & mandolin. If you would like to hear how he has progressed on psg, download the cd and listen to his version of " HE'LL HAVE TO GO " you'll see what I mean. Danny I remain your humble servant, and the cheque is in the post. Donny.

Glad to hear it's going down well. Hopefully it captures a little bit of the Gartcosh spirit, where everybody's contributions are welcome.
Sadly, minus the banter......perhaps a comedy CD to follow!!

Donny, it should be me that's sending you the cheque

There are no photographs, you'll be glad to hear.

Danny forgot to mention that these are reserved at the moment for the SSGW 2016 Gartcoshendales calendar, but here's a sneak preview.

I'm Mr December BTW,

Could someone confirm for me, that you can download the tracks? I clicked on the link and I could only play/stream the files.

I have got to own up and say I was responsible for recruiting Danny to Gartcosh, for this I humbly apologise to all Gartcosh members, because he has gone on to show us all up by the progress and work he has put in  Danny was the recording engineer ( a first class one) at the recording studio my band used, and I talked Danny into getting his Carter Starter out from under the bed -- big mistake--I have created my own downfall as he is now good enough to do any steel playing the studio requires ( another lost gig for me).
On a serious note all I can say is well done Danny, your progress has astounded me, and all at Gartcosh. What makes it worse is fact that as pointed out by Donny, he first class guitarist, mandolin player, excellent recording engineer , and just generally nice guy, DONT YOU JUST HATE SOME FOLK. Well done Danny keep on picking. :D :guitar:
