A public thank you for a personal moment

I have thought much as to whether or not to post this but I feel compelled to do so

My mother died on Christmas Eve and the funeral was Tuesday there (7th Jan 2014)

I didn’t make a big announcement and really only told folks who had called me on other matters.

On arrival at the grave side the first faces I saw were:
Donny Johnston, Willie Gamble, Billy McKillop and Malcolm McMaster. God bless pedal steel players!

You will never know how honoured and so proud I was of them, thank you guys, it meant more than you will ever realise!

My mother was a Godly woman with a fabulous voice, she will be a great asset to a heavenly choir, accompanied perhaps by the late great John Hughey
(now that is such a nice thought, is it not!)

The brotherhood of our steel playing community is mind blowing sometimes, there are 'no others' likeminded!

Thank you again guys, I feel truly honoured!

Bob

Bob, after all you have done for me, how could I not be there.
I personally only met your mother once, and I can not speak for the others, but I know we were all there to support you in you hour of need.
