A sad day!

An example to us all with qualities that are becoming fewer by the day. She had grace, integrity, humility in spite of her standing and wealth, and a faith that stood her well throughout her life and reign. Big shoes to fill for sure.

Reassuring she departed from where she called home and where she was most relaxed.

Vexed to see her go!

Aye Bob, I raised a glass to HMQ this evening, to send her on her way. I have to admit I am no Royalist as such, but I did admire the Queen, for all of the reasons you mentioned above but as for the rest of the hangers on, well enough said. It's a shame that she had such an horrendous time over the last few years of her life, Andrew, Harry, Covid 19 and the death of her beloved Philip, I will never forget the images of her sitting alone at his funeral while other B"%^*"ds were having parties in Downing Street.

A sad, Sad, day yes I shed a few tears at the news and not ashamed of it, such a constant part of our lives, she will be a hard act to follow.
As a bit of a street urchin growing up in central London from a very poor family I remember the street party at the time of her coronation, it was the first time I had ever tasted orange juice and I could have as much as i wanted, that memory will never leave me. Rest in peace your majesty.God save the King.

I recall the only time I saw the queen was when She was then Princess Elizabeth along with princess Margaret visiting Glasgow and the cavalcade drove along Kelvin way.I was amongst the many schoolchildern who lined the street and the memory of seeing Her never dimmed over the past 75 years.
