Bob Adams is seriously ill in hospital

I'm not big on personal info going on the forum but you have all been very kind in your remarks, thank you all I have been asked what happened so I'll make this as brief as possible and will 'say this only once.'

A week past Monday night about to go to bed, couldn't breathe when lying down so sat up all night with my face in front of a desk fan. Should have called ambulance ( Olly not happy with me) but you always think it'll pass, ...... mmmm! it didn't!!!

At GP early Tuesday then ejected to QUEH and there in 15 mins still struggling to breathe.

Immediately surrounded by 'Big Guns' who didn't muck about. It presented as heart but I had a lot of fluid around the lung area and one side of the heart was not as efficient as t'other, having by now had blood taken, heart trace, CT Ultrasound and X-ray etc., then up to Cardio ward, catheter swiftly up the old JT and a load of med pumped in to make me 'piddle for Poland' for days; bag loads of what looked like 'Pino Noir.' After a week got moved over onto tablets (13/Day) all doing the same things in prep to get home with follow up which is: Outpatient Cardiology clinic, Angiogram, scans and CT's etc re fluids....... All Great Fun.

Not that any of the team will ever read this but I have to say their attention was exemplary and undoubtedly saved my bacon!

Still a tad wabbit for visits but hope to get back to some normality in the not too distant future.

Reading this chapter was an emotional roller coaster, Bob, parts even made me wince

Great news Bob, hope you are recovering well. Can totally relate to your experience having gone through something similar recently, as with you the NHS team looking after me were incredible. Take it easy.

It’s really good news that your back home and on the road to recovery, now you’ll have to learn to do the one thing that I’m told you’re not very good at!
Doing Nothing!
So just relax, get some practice in!

Great news Bob. So glad you are on the mend. It will take time to get back to full strength.....On another note..you didn't perchance see my right lower leg up there did you? Seems I`ve misplaced it but I`m definitely sure someone is grabbing my toes every now and then!!
