Hi lads, Spoke to Reg tonight, sadly he had a bit of an episode last night, it would appear that he collapsed and
lost quite an amount of blood, but when I spoke to him, he was his usual resilient self.
He is inundated with visitors daily, quite a popular chap our Reg and I would give anything for this not to be happening to him
I regularly pass on the regards of the steel community to him.
All the best for now.

Spoke with Reg a few days ago, It was good to hear his voice and dry wit! He is obviously going through it but has a remarkable attitude in the circumstances. There is no doubt he knows we are all rooting for him. Thanks again for the update Willie.

Hi guys, I don't know what to say, I phoned Reg yesterday to see how he was feeling and he told me that the hospital was reluctant to give him any further Chemotherapy. I am at a loss as to what to say, and I don't know what to think.
He was as is his usual self, upbeat, but to be honest, it is a bit of a conversation killer.
Just a wee profile of my pal, he is one of the most generous and kind hearted people you would ever wish to meet, I have never met anyone with as much desire to learn to play steel guitar, and to that end I made a promise to him, that I would teach him, it is looking likely that I will not be able to fulfill my promise, which grieves me greatly.
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers guys, he is most certainly worthy of that.

Dear Friends of the Steel Guitar world,may take this opportunity to thank you all once again for your kind remarks regarding my illness, latest news is doctors advise me not to take any more Chemotherapy as if I do I will certainly land myself in hospital and I will never come out. so I said to myself listen to the experts and hope for the best as they say that the Chemotherapy is not working at all.May I take this opportunity to thank my very best friend ( Willie Gamble) for all the help and advice along the way, most appreciated Willie, and to every Steel guitar friend I have met between Scotland, England and Ireland, and to Ted Nesbitt for keeping me supplied with all my beautiful guitars, hope I have been a good customer to you, May I say God bless you all and stay safe. Hi guys, just a wee update on our Reg, he hasn't had the best of days today, dizzy spells and such like. He tells me he goes back to hospital on Wednesday for his next review, hopefully he will get some better idea of what the future holds for him.
We have good chat every second day and today he was laughing away at some of the drivel that I come away with.
He is an inspiration to me, with his strength of character.

Todays update on my pal Reg. I spoke with him on Friday, he was remarkably up beat. The hospital has cancelled all his chemo treatment and he is now on pain relief only.
He will be visited by either Marie Curie or McMillan nurses but which one is still to be decided.
As I stated in an earlier report, he is never short of visitors and it was the same on Friday.
That is all for now, I will keep all up to date as and when I get any info.
