.....re Bob's progress, the hospital staff think he has turned the corner, but it will be a different road ahead,whatever that means, he is beginning to issue demands ( but in the nicest possible way) and reorganising his tubes, so no surprise there.....

Positive news, thanks for these updates, Willie.
It's so easy to imagine Bob, looking at ways to improve the Modus Operandi. I'd bet there's an 'Adam's Tube Delivery System' in the pipeline.

Good evening folks, I had a phone call from Olly asking if I would visit Bob today, so I jumped at the chance, after what seemed like a five mile trek from the car park to the Coronary Care Unit, I was pleasantly surprised to see Bob( although he was trying to get a sleep at the time of my arrival) he said he tries to catch up with a nap or two because they keep coming into his room to take blood, check blood pressure and administer drugs etc etc. Anyhoo we had a good chat for about 21/2 hours and by that time he was starting to look a bit tired.
All in all it was a pleasant afternoon, and I was delighted to see him looking well, all be it still very weak.
He said to pass on his regards to all who are concerned about his wellbeing.
As always lads and lassies, keep him in your thoughts.

This is a much better news update and we’re all wishing Bob a good recovery, is there now a hydraulic pedal steel guitar being developed from being surrounded by tubes and syringes, was that a subject you covered in your conversation yesterday?
