Wee update. Tuesday they x-ray'd all the parts of me they hadn't already scanned. Saw the consultant yesterday and the bone in my upper left arm also has cancer damage, he told me to be really careful as it could fracture easily. He has referred me to the orthopaedic dept and they will decide if anything needs to be done to shore it up until the chemo has completed. They may have to put a pin in it. Could have been worse, I was dreading that it got into my hips, that would have been a real bummer, (no pun intended!).

Starting chemo next week or the week after, the sooner the better. 4 x monthly treatments, then a break for a month or so then intensive chemo at the Western General for 2-3 weeks followed by a stem cell implant and then bone repair treatments. So that should keep me going

Been given a lot of support from family & friends which is keeping my spirits up, visit from my grand daughters next week, looking forward to that, they're identical twins just turned 13, coming over from the Netherlands with our eldest son & wife.

Thanks Tony. It's difficult at times but I am mainly keeping positive. I had news the other day of a friend who has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, compared to that my condition at least gives hope of remission.
