Very sad to hear that Billy, i had heard she had been ill a while, as testimony to some of the great recordings she made, i played at a function in Foxford, County Mayo, just last night, and the female singer i backed, sang three BJS songs, 57' chevrolette, sing me an old fashioned song, and blanket on the ground, R.I.P. I met her at Scotty's show in St. Louis some years ago, where she sang 'Blanket on the Ground'.
Terry Bethel backed her on steel, it was great.... Such a lovely, friendly lady, she will be sadly missed.
My condolences to family and friends. Sue.

That is very sad news. I played on the same bill as her several times, and backed her on one occasion when she turned up at a party in my hotel in Switzerland. A very nice lady with a classic mellow country voice. RIP
