Have you seen this forum?

Looks good.

By the way, I still think this BSS one has too many section to post in.
There is not enough happening, and not enough members to justify 24 or more sections to post in.

In my opinion . :|

The Norwegian forum has a similar amount of members as this one with just 4 sections and even though I don't understand very much Norwegian at all, it's a pleasure to visit it as you can see everything easy. I know it's easy to say, click on new postings etc but that's not we all want to do, we sometimes want to look at a thread posted a few days ago and after a few mins of looking around, it gets boring. Sorry. Perhaps most of you disagree, but there's sections within this forum that are really just not necessary. It's a steel guitar forum, 6 to 8 sections maximum i reckon. I do keep visiting from time to time, but lose interest.

Regards, and respect to all concerned with the forum here,

But I just had to have another whinge!

That's a very interesting forum David. Thanks for posting.

I agree with you that there are too many sections in this forum. Four sections should be enough. I'd love to see this forum get busier and I have the height of respect for those who are involved. I do think a simpler format will encourage more posts.

By the way, a friend of mine is organising a full band jam session in the hotel bar on the Saturday night of the Irish Steel Festival (maybe Sunday night as well). Interested? It should be good fun. That's the idea anyway - to encourage people to stay around the hotel and generate a lively, music filled atmosphere.

Paul.

Guys this is Roy’s baby and the format is ‘as was’ but I’m sure we’ll get a chance for discussion at the ISGF.
That jam session sounds good, more like the old venue! The atmosphere was great!
I stayed in another hotel last time as all went flat anyway but back in-house this time.

Yes, I had a call about this a few days ago Paul, and as the dragons would say "I'm in".
It's less distance to walk and get a Guinness too!
