For anyone who's interested, this app now has an upgrade available with Jeff Newman and other, pedal steel sweetened tunings. Costs about a tenner.

is this ios or android? I've heard mixed things about the android one.?

Ios. I'm on 7 for phone, 8 for pad. pad works ok i think. not tried phone yet.
