A Banger
Posted: Fri Mar 31, 2017 5:43 pmI have a mate who's son has taken a liking to steel and would love to start playing, the problem being MONEY. Now I have just sold my Linkon for £900, I bought it for £600 and spent a lot of time and money on that guitar and didn't make a penny on it. I am not complaining, far from it I had a great time doing it up and Ian that bought it is over the moon with it. So I am looking for an old banger to do up and make a descent guitar for a young'un to get started with. It seems to me that since a few American manufacturers are making high class steels ie: Infinity, Zum, Sho-Pro etc, and the cost of these are like 3, 4, 5 Grand people are asking silly prices for their old guitars that in my opinion are often not worth half of what they are asking and that is putting a lot of youngster off.
