Hi there.
I'm playing a couple of shows on the west coast of Ireland 27th and 28th of August and I am looking to rent a steel.
Had a look at Ryan(Ripoff)Air and as my steel is 32kgs it will cost me an arm and a leg to get it over there.
I wondered if a kind Irish steelie would be willing to rent me a steel for those 2 days?
I play an D10 ShoBud but only need the E9 neck for these shows so a S10 or SD10 would be perfect.
Thanks!
Joe.

Ryan air use to do a deal where any musical instrument travels for £25! Check it out. They don't tell you it's in the small print! Alan

Thanks Alan.
I've had a look through all the minute details on the website and I can't seem to find that deal anywhere.
Thanks for the reply!
Joe.

Joe, what set up do you use ? I have some lighter s 10's but they will be "Day" set up... And by the time you have collected from me or paid carriage you may be no better off...

Hey JD,
You diamond.
I appreciate the offer but I have to say I would be pretty useless on a Day setup.
I play Emmons - so I'd need ABC pedals, E's on left knee. Then, RKL - 1st string tone raise + 6 tone lower. RKR semitone lower on 2nd and 9 string.
Do you have any steels that come in around 20kg or under?

Joe, according to Ryanair website musical instruments are carried at £50 per sector if booked on line, or £60 if purchased at airport.

For the first 20Kg, + £10/Kg after that.

Total rip off, I personally try to avoid flying with them if humanely possible.

You're so British John.
