Volume pedal string

String bust on my Sho-Bud volume pedal. Anyone know where I can find suitable replacement? I've read that fly fishing line was used but I don't know what type. Any experience with this? Thanks!

Gerry hogan has George L (now ShowPro) ones should fit.You can use brickies nylon line or nylon cord for window blinds.Have a look in B&Q .

I use braided silk string that I get from an old fashioned hardware shop in Southampton. It lasts for years.

Thanks chaps, I think I've got some of that in the cupboard. I imagine doing the wrap properly is more crucial than the exact type of string. Found some good pics on the US forum:

I use bathroom light switch cord, 30P a metre at the local ironmongers.
